"LOVE IS..." and Other Things That Matter

"LOVE IS...
Having Each Other When Bad New Is Received

For those of you who are new to my Blog you will find that on Wednesdays I share my old "LOVE IS..." clippings. When I was dating my hubby of many years he would routinely cut from the newspaper the latest drawing by Kim Grove and tuck it inside his love letters to me. I lovingly saved them all these years... The 'cartoons' (which my son thinks looks like his father and I in the late 70's) offer up a wide range of topics and are as relevant today as they were 30 years ago.

This little clippy is especially meaningful to me given the news of our brother-in-law's health issues (see the middle column of my Blog). How grateful and thankful I am to have had someone in my life to share my daily experiences with. My Mr.AGPMan has always been one to help shoulder my pain, carry my burden or measure my loss. He's always been there to "dress the wounds of a trying day and I can count on him to help camouflage the scars..."

When sorrow or tragedy makes a visit to your home (and sadly it always does), may you always know firsthand the love of a faithful friend...in my life it's made all the difference.

Blessings to you as you share both life's heartaches and joys with those you love...Rebecca

How fitting your post of today is to me, as I commented yesterday to you sweet friend my Dad had had 3 heart attacks last week & today when I was talking to my Mum on Skype today she told me Dad had another one last night & one today. Although they are not *major* attacks I *KNOW* in my heart they are building up to the *big* one.... my Darlin' like your man is here for me, supporting me, telling me all will be ok.... good grief what would we do without them huh....

Thank you for another walk down memory lane, I cannot believe these were in our daily paper when I was young & growing up in New Zealand, shows you how good the cartoonist was to appear in a newspaper sooooo far away...

Thinking of you Sweet & forever listening to your beautiful music while I make my creations...

This is a perfect one for me today also. The loss of my step brother has been such a painful shock to my family. My friend Stevie has been here for me with all the love and compassion that he can give. I am so thankful for him.
Thank you also for the kind and thoughtful words and prayers. They really mean a lot to me.

Hugs to you,

Dear Rebecca,
I don't know what I would have done without my husband of 37 yrs. In that time we have had our share of bumps and bad news, but he is so strong and I truely do lean on him for support and I think he does me. I love this clipping. What would we do without our wonderful mates.
Hugs,
June

Today is not what I would call a good day. Matter of fact, the only good that my heavy heart and mind saw without effort was this: Love of our Almighty God, The hug from my husband as I wept and the reaching of a good friends words.

Yup, this one touches me more deeply than I could ever express.

Hi Rebecca,
What a wonderful and sweet post. It is just like reading my story, my dh has always and still is there for me. It is so amazing how your life can be so intertwined with another. We will be riding in the car and he will say something , and i will say "I was just thinking the same thing." I know that it is the Lord directing our life.
Thank you for the update on your bil and his family. I am certainly praying for them. and like you I am asking God for complete healing.
Hugs,
sue
