"LOVE IS..." and Other Things That Matter

~"LOVE IS..." Michael Bublé~

Boy...Wednesday sure does roll around fast! Can't believe it's time to share another one of my favorite "LOVE IS..." CLIPPIES with you...

Now...as I've been telling you...back in late 1977 my hubby would tuck tons and tons of these charming little clippings inside his love letters to me. Truthfully, I'm about one-gazillion percent positive HE KNEW I was not a fan of Mr. Engelbert Humperdinck. I didn't NOT like him, mind you. I sorta did...just KINDA... Both Mr. H and Mr. J (Tom Jones) were a FEW YEARS before my time so I was never one of their die-hard fans... (Actually they kinda CREEPED-ME-OUT with those long sideburns and tight pants). :( EEK!

I was in love with other singers tho....which for the sake of PRIVACY shall remain nameless! :) :) :)

These days just gimme Michael Bublé and I'll be happy! That feller has some pipes! Can't clean house to him, tho. Gotta pull out the LOUD STUFF if I'm going to be doing something that requires me gettin' my hands dirty. Just can't imagine listening to Mr. Romeo (that's what I call him) when I'm cleaning bathtubs and toilets...

Blessings to you as you dance (and clean) to the music in your life...Rebecca

I just fall in love with each art piece you post, Rebecca. They are as precious as can be. What a lovely loving hubby ...

Josh Groban (sp) can take me away all day long, second are the Irish Tenors ...

EH & TJ were great in their time, we were used to those tight pants & sideburns ... chuckle! swoon!! Oh, OK it gives my age away ...

Have a beautiful day ~

I like Michael Buble too. He has such a soothing voice. When I clean house, I am like you. I have to have more upbeat music. I usually put on classical. I've even been known to put on Christmas music to clean house! LOL I did that the other day!

Hugs,
Lee Laurie

The clipping was cute!

Hi Rebecca, this post made me smile. If I need to do serious cleaning...I put on classical music. It gives me energy and refreshes me.

Bach forever!!!!!

I loved Mr. H and went to Las Vegas to see him many years ago when he was so famous. I cried through the entire show and could hardly see him. I guess I was more of a fan than I thought! I have to laugh when I think of it now..but..I am a lot older than you and his "Make the World Go Away" was a favorite of mine.
Rebecca, I love everything you do and you are one of the most talented women I know. You have an eye for soft and pleasing beauty in everything you do.
Your pillow arrived yesterday..and I am delighted with it. Plan to post it...and the gorgeous way you presented it. Thank you so very much! There is NEVER a disappointment with you! You know what you like and follow through. That is where I get lost. I like so many varied ways of decorating that I get lost.
Your husband is a dear to make your dreams come true.
Inspired? You have been inspiring me for YEARS!
Many hugs...and smiles!

Oh my goodness! Ha-ha! I couldn't stand Tom Jones or EH! "Creeped me out" is a good description. My mom sure thought they were great though! To each her own. ☺

Hi Rebecca,
Mr. Romeo does has an awesome voice. I'm with you and Holly about eh and tj. But I do love Elvis. Still. His voice was like velvet. I was a big B.J. Thomas fan myself, and Gary Puckett and the Union Gap. I liked Paul Revere and the Raiders too. Did you know he was from Boise?

June

I am ashamed to say I was in love with both Mr. Humperdink and Mr. Jones!!! My dad took me to see them in Las Vegas on several occasions...worse yet...I was only abou 15 and 16 years old!!! Is that weird?!!! I liked that they were older and more clean cut than the guys of my generation!!! I thought those side burns were cool!!! Obviously I WAS NOT!!!

I also was a HUGE fan of Neil Sedaka, Paul Anka and Vic Damone!!! My dad took me to see them too!!!

I hope I haven't embarassed myself completely!!!

Enjoy the day!!!
XOXO
Cathy

Rebecca,
I agree too....they were not my type either...YUK! To tell you the truth...I like the rock & roll (Bee GEEs,The Bread, Chicago,& 70s music) when I was young...no country. Then when I got older I like Kenny Rogers,Vince Gill and George Strait. Now I'm 50 years old...I just listen to my chrisstian music...some country depend on the wording to it...But when it come to cleaning the house...I put on my Praise & Worship on...It's energize me...LOL...Praise the Lord! Thanks for stopping by...the seminars was awesome...can't wait to share my experience...Smiles and Hugs..Katherinellen

Yes, we love Michael Buble. Beautiful voice.

Speaking of cleaning, I am reminded of my need to clean my house. I am starting to see little dust bunnies on my floors. But tomorrow is my son's birthday, so it will have to wait until the weekend.

Take care.

Blessings,

Andrea

Dear Rebecca,
I am from Oklahoma, also. I live in Enid. I love Edmond and Guthrie....I just showed some pictures of Guthrie for Outdoor Wednesday a couple of weeks ago and some of the houses but not many.
My daughter had to come to Edmond 5 days a week for 8 weeks to have radiation with her last radiation treatment Dec. 10, 2008. I love...love all the beautiful bronze statues including the one I featured, that I believe is called the book...it is a woman with a boy and girl and she is reading to them. The detail is sooooo very amazing.
I briefly read over your blog....Jesus is my life....first and foremost.
I love your house and the love you have put into it....it is beautiful and the yard is gorgeous.
I am so happy to find a beautiful christian in oklahoma to blog with.
hugs and blessings
debbie
